Dr. Benjamin Bernstein is a nationally recognized clinical psychologist, specializing in the treatment of adolescents, young adults and executives/professionals.
His writing and expertise can be found in American Psychological Association (APA) publications, as well as, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, Psychology Today and Well + Good. He has held positions at college counseling centers, VA hospitals, state psychiatric centers and various outpatient clinics. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University and his doctorate at the City College of New York. Recently, he received the 2025 Susan C. Warshaw Award for his work in the field of child and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy.
In addition to his private practice, he has served in various leadership and clinical roles at Silver Hill Hospital. These roles include Adolescent Psychologist, Assistant Director of Education and the Director of the Argent Assessment Program, where he led a team helping individuals from around the world understand themselves more deeply and move forward in their lives. He is a Clinical Supervisor for Silver Hill, as well as the City College of New York Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology.
